Hand drawn animations for showcasing the post on IG reels taking elements from the music videos.
Created this poster to try and capture the same energy and story that Tyler, the Creator was trying to capture throughout the entire album of Chromakopia. I wanted to capture the highlights of the album through specific songs like: St. Chroma and Thought I Was Dead since major story points were captured in both the lyrics and the music videos. I wanted cohesiveness with all the shots so I did color grading to match the album art from the music video screen shots which allowed more neutrality throughout the piece to incorporate the key color of green that is the main color of the album. The lyrics in the album speak a lot on issues he faces, both as a musician and personally. Some songs capture internal conflict while others are external conflicts but regardless I wanted to capture it as the war he was battling and using the poster as a timeline or article. There were elements in his music videos I absolutely loved and wanted to show so when posting this live I hand drew the animations to capture parts of the music videos to also be utilized as a live poster in IG reels.
